☺Buggy Fun!!☺

Wow what a wonderful day.  Morning started with going out to have coffee and croissants.  Cafe's not open so headed to the local bakery where we purchased our coffee and croissants and brought them back to the apartment.  They are just so delicious.
Weather wise it started with drizzle and cloud but as the day progressed the sun shone  for our day out to Versailles!!
After our croissants we headed to the local metro to catch our train to St Michel before changing to the C line to head to Versailles.  Met a delightful Aussie couple from Melbourne and Carolyn and Annie enjoyed chatting to them about the sites of Paris!!
Once at Versailles Patrine and Del managed to get us our entry tickets to the Palace and Gardens however it was time for coffee - Starbucks was close by but we resisted and ended up in the local cafe next door where we bought standup coffee for a euro cheaper than if we sat down to drink our coffee or chocolate!!!  Glad they do not do that 'down under'.
We soon finished our coffee and headed to the Palace.  What a beautiful site it was walked up the avenue to see the golden gates - the entrance to the Palace.  Once inside we headed to the garden - again amazing set up with lots of fountains, ponds and different garden beds!!
Lunch was next - thanks to Patrine for making us some delicious sandwiches along with fresh baguettes, mineral water and of course a glass of wine!!!  We chose a spot over looking the avenue where music was playing.  Certainly a magnificent spot for a bite to eat.
After lunch it was time to think about the gardens.  We had a few options, walking!!, catch a train or drive ourselves in a buggy.   Now the buggy looked just the thing for us three girls.   Carolyn handed in her drivers licence and we were off.  Del, Patrine and the children hired one as well so it was on - buggy races at Versailles!!!  What fun we had!!!  Not only did we save our legs but also saw Marie Antoinette's home as well as her escape home for when she wanted to feel more like us!!!  They were certainly very beautiful and well kept.
A day out in the warm weather is not complete without an ice-cream and weren't they just so delicious!!!
After taking our buggy back we headed for the Hall of Mirrors.  Again - amazing and full of history!!  It was a tad warm in the Palace and we three just had to get out into the fresh air again and head back to the station for our return trip to the apartment.

Our day finished back at the apartment with glasses of vodka and tonic water and making the huge decision of what to have for tea!!!

Be back tomorrow -  hope all is well with everyone.  Make the most of blog as next week you may not hear from us for few days!!!
